Banner Lake invites public to Open House for new Community Center

WHO: All are welcome to celebrate the Banner Lake Club’s Open House along with residents, volunteers, students, dignitaries, and community partners.

WHAT: The Open House event includes tours of the new community center and the opportunity to learn about the Banner Lake Club’s expanding programing and new Academy to serve children from kindergarten through third grade. It is designed to nurture children in a safe setting, providing them with an optimal learning environment.

WHEN: Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Banner Lake Community Center, 12212 SE Lantana Avenue, Hobe Sound

WHY: The Banner Lake Club (BLC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for Hobe Sound residents, primarily those in and around the Banner Lake Community who require financial assistance.

The new Banner Lake Academy housed at the Center will serve local children from kindergarten through third grade. The Academy provides small student-to-teacher ratios, a nurturing learning environment, and is positively impacting the lives of children.

BLC also offers a free after school and summer program called BLAST (Banner Lake After School Time) for children ages 5-18. Additionally, BLC has a Teen Program, a Food Pantry, Community Café, Soup Kitchen and a Senior Meal Delivery Program.

The Open House is an opportunity for the Club to share the exciting news about the new facility and the transformative impact it is having on the community.
