The 21st Annual Poinsettia Power Luncheon Set for December 1 to benefit Meals on Wheels
Posted on October 9, 2026
Stuart, FL – This year’s glittering and festive Poinsettia Power Luncheon is coming up quickly, signaling a joyous start to holiday shopping and activities. The much-loved event is set for December 1 at the beautiful Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa.
Guests will enjoy holiday shopping with one-of-a-kind vendors at the holiday bazaar, revel in the stylish fashions at the fashion show, delight in a special holiday lunch, and show off uniquely decorated hats in the Hat Parade. Yasmine Julmisse, the newest addition to the WPBF25 News Morning team as Traffic Anchor, is the emcee.
Amid all the fun, there is a very serious purpose. Funds raised through the luncheon support the Council on Aging Martin County’s Meals on Wheels program.
Meals on Wheels provides hot, noontime meals for Martin County seniors who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. A dedicated team of volunteers delivers more than 500 meals each weekday, bringing both a hot, healthy meal, a warm smile, and a wellness check. The volunteers are able to communicate with care navigators at COA if they see any client issues that need to be addressed. COA also operates four dining sites throughout Martin County for seniors who can share a meal with friends and participate in fun activities!
“The Council on Aging Martin County is the only Meals on Wheels provider in the county,” according to CEO Karen Ripper, “and it is an essential lifeline to hundreds of seniors. The program depends, in large part, on generous donations from the community, so we are very grateful to everyone who supports the Poinsettia Power Luncheon.”
Guests are encouraged to secure a table for friends or family or to make the luncheon a ready-made staff holiday party. Sponsors of the event have an opportunity to promote their organization to an enthusiastic audience while supporting an essential community service.
And it’s not just a ladies’ luncheon. Men are welcome too.
The 2026 Poinsettia Power Luncheon committee members include Donna Haines, Francesca Morgan, Jill Ball, Joanna Mangan, and new committee members: Lensey Ackerman, Jeannine Porcelli, Rosemarie Lembo James and Gillian Sasuta.
