MARTIN COUNTY — Volunteers are still needed to complete the following community projects through Keep Martin Beautiful, as the Great American Cleanup continues nationwide:
- Gertrude Walden Child Care Center in East Stuart runs on donations and grants, and has many needs and a shrinking pool of funds. Work on May 16 involves landscaping, painting, carpentry and more.
- On May 30, work involves removing litter, debris and leftover tree limbs from the Rio/Jensen Skate Park project area.
- Repairs to the historic home in Golden Gate.
Neighborhood groups, civic clubs, schools, Scouts, businesses and individuals can all be part of the Great American Cleanup.
For more info or to participate in the cleanup contact Keep Martin Beautiful at (772) 781-1222 or info@keepmartinbeautiful.org.
